Tons Of Torchy Comics II

Lots more Torchy comics. You can never get enough of them. At least I can't. This is the first time I've gotten a big collection of them all at once.

Tons Of Torchy Comics

"The Fabulous Fifties" blog recently put in a bunch of Torchy comics. I could do no less.

Actually, the first story is one I've already had here. But there are a lot of different ones that I don't think I'd seen before.

RETURN JOURNEY From ADVENTURES INTO THE UNKNOWN

ADVENTURES INTO THE UNKNOWN was the first continuously published horror comic book. It survived the storm of criticism of the 1950's that brought about the downfall of most horror comics by switching to a less horrendous type of tale. Editor Richard Hughes would declare in the 1960's that their comics were better than ever, but the American Comics group would go out of business before the end of the decade as a result of declining sales.
