The Man Who Married Lois Lane

Lois Lane wants to marry Superman, although I can remember that at some point they threw that out. Must have been when they ruined all the comics and I quit reading them. After that they ended up putting it back the way it was supposed to be to begin with. In this story, Lois Lane marries somebody else.

Sally The Sleuth - "Hawaiian Spy Hunt"

Sally The Sleuth fights foreign spies in a story that might be related to Pearl Harbor. This story runs for four pages, while the older stories only had two. Originally published in SPICY DETECTIVE in April 1941, several months before the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.

Miss America - "Masked Murder!"

Miss America was created by Otto Binder and Al Gabriele, who intended her to be a sort of female counterpart of Captain America. The character can also be seen as similar to Supergirl. This particular story was originally published in MARVEL MYSTERY COMICS.

The Man Who Sold Superman Insurance

I read some comic books from this period when I was little. Superman seemed to be a lot more impressive back then. Later on he was made less powerful and he didn't seem as impressive. They didn't seem to have as many spaceships, either.  Then they got rid of Supergirl.  For some reason, Luthor ceased to be a mad scientist and became a billionaire instead. It all seemed strange to me, and I stopped reading the comics. Except the old ones. I still read them.

This particular story has a spaceship, Supergirl, and a bald bad guy who isn't Luthor, but looks like him. Art by Wayne Boring.
