Editorial Cartoon - Violence In Schools

There's just one thing I have to add to this:

There was a lot of violence when I was going to school, too. Why wasn't there more concern about it at that time?

  1. Because the gun lobby wasn't as strong as it is today, and guns were a lot less prevalent. And God not being allowed in schools? WHOSE God? The Islamic one? The Christian one? The Jewish one? Which God do you let in and which ones do you thus ignore/keep out? Why didn't the parents of the killer make God a priority? HE'S the one who truly needed God.

  2. There are some arguments here that don't necessarily follow from what I said. So, why is it that violence in schools is more important now than it was in the past? Somebody was killed at Tech high school not long after I graduated, a girl in one of my classes was killed in the neighborhood of the school while I was still going there. Most of the kids in this neighborhood would not go to that school. Why did I have to go there when they got out of it?

All kinds of arguments can be made, it depends on what you want to argue about. And I'm willing to allow others the same freedom of religion that I have.
