A Native American's Reaction To Obama's Claim

Obama's telling whoppers again.

There are so many problems with this one, I hardly know where to start. Obviously, if you were born in this country, you're not an immigrant, you're a native American. It cannot be said that non-Indian people who were born here are not native Americans. It can't even be said that the Indians originated here, since the origin story we have for them is that the Indians themeselves came over here originally from Asia. And Indians who were born in some other country are not really native Americans as far as being natives of this country are concerned, they are only members of the same race that some people call "Native Americans", what I would call American Indians. As I am part Indian myself, I have no real reason to worry about what somebody else might think of that.
Finally, the statement quoted above comes from someone who so far has failed to prove that he himself is a native American, something that is supposed to be neccessary in order for him to hold his own office.

  1. Many refer to Indians/Native Americans as "First Americans", since they were the first humans on the continent.
Before Europeans came over, First Americans (or whatever you want to call them) had spread all over the continent, establishing a thriving civilization of independent nations both in North and South America.
Europeans (Spanish, French, English) came in and trampled all over them, pushing them out of the way of their colonization efforts, and in some cases, literally wiping out the people who were here first.
Under US law, anyone born on US soil is automatically an American citizen, even if both of his/her parents are foreign citizens.
So, unless you don't think Hawaii is part of the US, Obama is an American citizen.

  2. If some people want to refer to us Indians as "Native Americans", that does not change the fact that everyone that has been born in this country is a native American. Obama is guilty of misrepresenting the situation.

Obama never proved he was born in Hawaii, he also never proved he was born anywhere else in this country. Experts said that his supposed birth certificate is a forgery.

  3. Obama DID provide his birth certificate, much to the dismay of Donald Trump. He keeps repeating his lie in the hopes that more and more people will believe THAT over the truth.

  5. Experts said that Obama's supposed birth certificate is a forgery. I rememeber that Donald Trump said Obama hadn't proved he was a US citizen, but there is more to the story than that.

Obama is a known lier and I have no reason to believe anything he says. The birth certificate business is only a small part of what I was talking about to begin with and any settlement of that would not clear him of guilt in misrepresenting those of us who indisputably are native Americans.
