Allen Smith: Page from A Date with Millie #2 from 1959. Who says Stan Lee wasn't an artist? There's his name right on the page. Alone. All by itself. With no mention of an artist. (Actually, Stan Goldberg per the Grand Comics Database.) Goldberg was a pretty solid cartoonist.
Recently I put a couple of early fifties stories from TALES OF SUSPENSE and STRANGE TALES on this blog that didn't even have Stan Lee's name on them, just the artists' names. Somehow I'd forgotten that a few years later they were putting out comics credited to Stan Lee alone.
