GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE is a Tarzan parody. George lives in the jungle and swings through the trees, but frequently crashes into them. His comrades in these adventures include his mate Ursula, who George keeps calling "Fella", and his ape Ape, who George is content to leave as ape. The series first aired in 1967, featuring additional segments with Super Chicken and Tom Slick. Two issues of a Gold Key comic book were published that closely followed the original cartoons, something that cannot be said of later remakes.
