"Marvel Boy" was a 1950's superhero that was not really related to Captain Marvel ( still being published at that time ) apart from having a similar name. The name can also be seen as being related to that of the publisher, although at that time the company was going by "Atlas". This story was originally published in 1951 in ASTONISHING #3.
