Fantomah was the first female superhero to appear in comics. Created by Fletcher Hanks, she appeared to have just about any power she needed to fly, turn evildoers into monsters, and otherwise bring justice to the jungle. I'm not sure if I've had this story on the blog before, but I know that I've read several stories with this character in the past.
