"Too Many Superheroes" - Mighty Crusaders

"The Mighty Crusaders" were a superhero group at the Archie comics company. They were comparable to "The Justice League Of America" at DC comics or "The Avengers" at Marvel comics. In this particular issue, just about every superhero the Archie people ever had makes an appearance.

This story was written by Jerry Siegel, who was one of the creators of Superman, and drawn by Paul Rhineman, who had been inking Jack Kirby's artwork at Marvel. Not surprisingly, you see some similarities to the other characters they'd worked on before.

I don't think I saw these when they originally came out, and I haven't seen too many since. They're kind of obscure now, but even today these comics have their fans.
