The Black Condor has to be one of the stupidest superheroes ever. Raised by condors as an infant, he somehow was supposed to have gained the ability to fly, presumably from eating worms. But the stories could be entertaining and are noted for having good art, usually by Lou Fine and Reed Crandall. This particular story has art by John Cassone and dates to 1942.

Mention is made in the fourth panel of having sand ready for air raids. This was to smother incendiary bombs made with magnesium, which burns underwater.
I thought having the villainess killed - her death being caused by the hero - while the main villain escaped was a questionable ending.
