Felix The Cat was a popular cartoon character in the silent era, but a live action version also appeared as a character in René Clair's "The Imaginary Voyage" ( 1926 ). The Cat was played by someone in a costume.
Dale remarked that it looked like a toy Felix The Cat ( below ), which is also about how the character looked in cartoons at the time*.
A Charlie Chaplin character also appears in this movie, also played by someone in a costume. The story is full of fantastic beings and unusual occurrences.
Felix The Cat also appears with Charlie Chaplin in "Felix In Hollywood", an actual Felix The Cat cartoon made in 1923.
*Later on Felix became more rounded in appearance.
