Mandrake the Magician was written by Lee Falk ( who also wrote the Phantom, and created both ) and drawn by Phil Davis. The strip had a long and successful run in the papers and there were also comic books. Here we have HARVEY COMIC HITS #53, which reprinted stories from the comic strip.

We've had Vic Herman's World War II character Winnie The Wac here before. "Winnie The Waitress" is a postwar variation of the same basic character for Harvey comics. During this period, Herman also did other comics for them, including "Little Dot".
