Toni Gayle - "Case Of The Poison Ring"
Toni Gayle is sort of like a different version of the Phantom Lady. She also seems similar to the brunette that turned up in Captain America stories around the same time, at least in appearance. That character was likely as not to be one of the bad guys.
This story was originally published in 1949, and the art is by L. B. Cole.

Human Torch - "Reptile's Revenge"
The original Human Torch* was an android that was created in the laboratory, a character that resembled the MF Enterprises "Captain Marvel" somewhat. That could have been because Carl Burgos was supposed to have worked on both characters.
In this story, the Human Torch and his sidekick battle a ferocious crocodilian monster.

*The current "Human Torch" is a different character who is member of the "Fantastic Four".

Of Comic Books And Their Values
Comic books are something that are frequently cited as having and retaining value. And it is said that they are a good investment.
Is this true?
At http://finance.yahoo.com/news/those-comics-basement-probably-worthless-095537403.html , they tell us it ain't necessarily so.
Which has been my experience.
I like some of the comics, and I put some of them on my blog, but I wouldn't advise anyone to buy any of the more recent ones with the idea that they are valuable. Anything published after the sixties isn't usually in that great of demand, and would be valuable chiefly as reading material.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not
This recent cartoon had something about a rat festival in it.
So I just had to put it on the blog.
