Millie The Model
An early Millie The Model from 1949, by Stan Lee and Dan DeCarlo. Stan Lee signed the first page and Dan DeCarlo signed the last page. It figures. Stan Lee always did try to take most of the credit for everything.
The "editorial consultant" credit seems to have a response to comic book critics such as Dr. Wertham. It was there to reassure parents that these comics were suitable for children. You see the same sort of credit on Captain America comic books from the same period.
Millie The Model was a very successful title and ran for years, although I can remember that Marvel comics acted like it was a joke. I also remember that Millie The Model was the only comic book I ever made very much money on. So Millie The Model is still popular even today.
