This story credited to Henry P. Chapman. Art is by Wayne Boring, uncredited. "Stan" gets no credit, but does appear in this story as a character. Originally published in ASTONISHING ( mentioned in the story ) in 1951: MARVEL TALES was also an actual title at the time.

MY FRIEND IRMA Comics

Here are some MY FRIEND IRMA comics by Dan DeCarlo, from the 1950's. We've had some here before. I think these might be different, but I'm not certain.

Stan Lee's name appears prominently on the first page, but only Stan Lee's.

Dan DeCarlo's name doesn't appear till the last page (third panel ). And that because he signed the artwork.

This one is credited to "Stan & Dan". Readers who designed Irma's outfits were also credited.

Stan didn't do it all. 'Nuff said.

"Mr. Morgan's Monster" - STRANGE TALES #99

Jack Kirby did a lot of monster stories for Marvel comics before there was a revival of interest in superhero comics at the company in the early 1960's. This particular tale was from STRANGE TALES #99, which had a cover date of August 1962.

This story was credited to Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers, who penciled and inked it, respectively. There is no mention of Stan Lee, who wasn't always credited in this period. Later on he made sure he had his name on everything and eventually would take credit for the creation of the Marvel universe.

Marvelous Horror Funnies

This time we have some horror funnies, three stories that originally appeared together in SPELLBOUND #13 ( 1953 ), and were all reprinted in VAULT OF EVIL #10 ( 1974 ). The first title was back when Marvel was known as "Atlas", the latter one was when Marvel was being Marvel.

"Beware Of Meeks Bringing Gifts" - STRANGE TALES #86

STRANGE TALES was one of the Marvel comic books that Jack Kirby did stories for. This is one of them. The title is of course a switch on the saying "Beware of Greeks bringing gifts!"
