The 1950's saw a brief revival of the Captain America comic book, but Bucky was brought back as the sidekick and Golden Girl was forgotten. Although Betsy Ross was brought back in at least one issue*. As a girl reporter. And a redhead. Something that I've never seen remarked on anywhere, I only know about it from reading the comic book.
Art was by John Romita, who would return to drawing the character in the 1970's.

The last Captain American story in the issue was a war story and didn't have Betsy Ross in it.
* This is what I've seen. I haven't read all the issues from this period.
