Occasionally, I write about animated cartoon characters who are more or less modeled after real people. This might be another one, but I wasn't sure. Anyway, "Mrs. Meany" was one of the characters that "Woody Woodpecker" used to fight with in his cartoons.
Mrs. Meany was also "Calamity Jane" in one cartoon.
I thought Mrs. Meany was Mary Wickes.
Mary Wickes was a famous actress who appeared in many movies and television programs. She was a friend of Lucille Ball and frequently worked with her on television.
