"The Little Black Box" - MYSTERY TALES #1

"The Little Black Box" is a story about a man who thought he could get something for nothing, who ended up getting more than he'd bargained for. Art is by Joe Maneely, and the story is by Hank Chapman, both are credited in the first panel. Originally published in 1952 by Atlas Comics ( Marvel ).

Black Phantom #3 - TIM HOLT #41

Another adventure of the Black Phantom in TIM HOLT, which was about to have the title changed to RED MASK, the masked avenger identity that Tim Holt had been using in these stories.

The "extra-dimension effect" was an attempt to give the art a 3-D look. You see this in some of the other comics at the time, as well as actual 3-D comics that required glasses. The fad was short-lived.

Bettie Page Photo

A candid photo of Bettie Page which was taken by Irving Klaw.

Ebay seller's description:

Candid shot of Bettie Page enjoying a coke with Jack Kremer, husband of Paula Klaw (Kramer) and business partner of Irving Klaw, during a break in a photo shoot at Movie Star News in NYC, circa mid 1950's.
This 4x5 b&w GELATIN SILVER PHOTOGRAPH  was purchased during the production process of the feature length documentary film BETTIE PAGE REVEALS ALL for its exceptional quality and potential use in the film.
It was bought from Irving Klaw's Movie Star News in NYC (before they closed their doors there forever and moved to Las Vegas) where it was made from a Klaw negative.

Tesla's Life Story - TOP SECRETS #9

Nikola Tesla was the discoverer of alternating current. The tale was told in Street and Smith's TOP SECRETS #9, May-June 1949, and the teller was Mike Arnes. He signed his name right on it.

Reblogged from http://serbianna.com/blogs/savich/archives/1758

The cover is by Bob Powell. I don't think it has anything to do with Tesla.
