PHANTOM LADY #17 has the famous cover that was reprinted in Fredrick Wertham's book SEDUCTION OF THE INNOCENT.
Wertham may have complained about the cover, but I didn't like the way the girl was murdered in the first story or the fact that it happened when the Phantom Lady ran out. I don't know how often anything like this happened in other comic book when the superheroere were changing from their secret identities.
