The Shadow battles The Robot Master in this story from 1945, which was published by Street and Smith, the people who brought you the pulp magazine. Walter Gibson wrote many of the pulp stories and sometimes wrote the comic book version as well; the Grand Comics Database credits him with this one.

The line about an "invisible robot" appears to be a misuse of the word "invisible" to mean "invincible", something that Carol Hughes did in FLASH GORDON CONQUERS THE UNIVERSE.
