The first series of Three Stooges comics had Shemp in them as one of the characters. The next series had Joe DeRita in them, as he was the "third Stooge" at that time. This issue was a movie tie-in - the occasion was the Stooges first starring feature film, HAVE ROCKET WILL TRAVEL - and there is an ad for that film inside. This comic was actually part of Dell's Four Color series, and it was the first of five devoted to the Three Stooges. Cover date is Oct.-Dec. 1959.
The first story has a character called the "Black Phantom", the same name used by a blonde in RED MASK comics.

Thank you for posting these Three Stooges comic books in their entirety! They are actually pretty fun to look at! The challenges are interesting- nope, I couldn't pick up anything with my heels against the wall!
